Do you feel weary today, fellow pilgrim? The idea of a pilgrimage includes the notion of distance and weariness. As wonderful as our Saviour is, walking day by day, after so long a time, our souls often grow weary. After all, even Jesus grew weary on the way up to ‘Samaria.

Weary souls need rest. Maybe today, it would be nice to just let God’s love for us sink into our souls. How does that sound? Lord, help me today to simply trust You to run the universe, and strengthen me to simply enjoy Your love and grace. You are a God who overflows from Your inmost being. Overflow into my life today, Lord God, I pray.
