Wouldn’t it be great to hear God’s voice today? He speaks when He want to speak to us, and there’s nothing comparable to those sweet times. I think His voice is always heard in HIs word, even though it’s more of a faint echo than a direct whisper in the ear. I wish I could hear His voice directly every day, but that will only be realized in heaven. Until then, I can listen for the echo of His present voice today in spending time in His word. One day, we will see Him face to face, and hear His voice while we gaze into His face. Until then, to the word and to the testimony!
