Weariness of soul… it often plagues the child of God. Our pathway can often be long, arduous, and rough. Somehow, we have the impression that our lives should be like a beautiful vine, growing in a green-house – free from worry, fear, and trouble. “If I only had more faith, was more obedient, more prayerful, THEN my life would be so much smoother and easier…. yada yada yada.”

Some of His choice plants grow in the desert, some of His grandest trees are rooted on wind-swept mountain tops, some of His choicest flowers are found in the deepest, darkest valleys. These places can all be wearying, but our Father knows such is necessary for His children to develop to their full potential. Stay the course, weary pilgrim.
